National Junior Honor Society
National Junior Honor Society is an academic and service based club for 8th grade students. These students are examples of NJHS's five pillars; character, leadership, scholarship, citizenship, and service.
Members participate in club meetings and monthly service projects throughout the community. Some past service projects include; 5K walks, helping at animal shelters, graffiti clean up, and fundraising.
Application for membership into NJHS takes place during the 4th quarter of the student's 7th grade year, with an induction ceremony at the beginning of their 8th grade school year. Students who have a first through third quarter cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher are invited to apply for membership in NJHS. Applications are then reviewed and students are notified of their official acceptance.
