Transforming Today’s Students into Tomorrow’s Leaders
Grayhawk Elementary School’s STEM program provides today’s students with the skills required for tomorrow’s global leaders. The acronym STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, a program created by the National Science Foundation. This approach to education was designed to revolutionize the teaching of mathematics and science by incorporating technology and engineering into the curriculum.
STEM Education differs in that it transforms a traditional teacher-centered classroom into one that encourages students to actively engage in the curriculum utilizing problem solving, discovery, and exploratory learning. Historically, the four subjects of STEM have been taught separately until now. Learn more about Grayhawk Elementary School’s STEM program in an article published in the Grayhawk Flights magazine.
